Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo has dissolved the state’s Executive Council.
The governor however, retained eight commissioners.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Declan Emelumba, confirmed the development in an interview with newsmen on Wednesday in Owerri.
Emelumba said the dissolution was to restructure the governor’s administration to achieve his numerous projects of the 3R of Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Recovery agenda.
The commissioner said the ministries that were not affected included, information and strategy, Works, Finance, Health and Youths.
He named others as Tourism, Technology and Women Affairs.
Emelumba said that 20 ministries were affected in the dissolution.
“The governor said he wants to rejig his administration and soon he will reconstitute his administration to further achieve his agenda for Imo people,” he said.
