Gunmen have attacked another Police Station in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State setting it ablaze.
The attack reportedly occurred late Wednesday night to early hours of Thursday when the unidentified heavily armed men stormed the station and engaged police personnel in a gun fight.
Though no report of casualties had been given,the hoodlums were said to have freed some detainees in the attack .
Police Stations in Abia and neighbouring states have recently become a target for attack for reason ranging from stealing of weapons to freeing inmates or detainees by suspected members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB and its Military wing, The Eastern Security Network ESN.
Hoodlums have attacked 4 police stations ,an office of The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA office in various locations in Abia State less than a week.
