One of the fastest growing airlines, Max Air with flight number,5N BBM , on Tuesday afternoon escaped tragegy as its flight which took off from Kano to Abuja suffered bird strike a few minutes after take off.
The flight, a Boeing 737 with 140 persons on board including the Emir of Kano,Aminu Ado Bayero was said to have had its three engine blades attacked by birds making the pilot to return to Kano.
The Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu who confirmed the incident to newsmen said it was similar to that of Aero Contractors on Monday in Port Harcourt.
Nuhu said the two incidents which occurred within 24 hours compelled the regulatory body to fix a meeting with management of the Federal Airports Authority,FAAN, Nigetia Airspace Management Agency NAMA, on how to avert future occurrence.
