The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC) has suspended its 5 day warning strike in Kaduna.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba on Wednesday, said the suspension was to enable labour leaders to honour an invitation by the Minister of Labour,Chris Ngige.
The NLC commenced the warning strike in Kaduna with picketing over mass disengagement of workers by the El-Rufai government.
The government is said to have sacked more than 50,000 workers and reportedly replaced them with a much more higher number,a situation many described as bias and stoking the flame of division in the state.
Only a few hours ago, a defiant El- Rufai threatened to deal with Wabba and other labour leaders calling them criminals saying by the time he was through with them, they would never contemplate ever stepping foot in Kaduna.
