The Ebonyi State Police Command has denied claims that a suicide bomber blew himself up in the state.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, Loveth Odah, a police personnel identified as Idi Aminu died after he mistakenly detonated a grenade.
Odah said the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Reports had suggested that a suicide bomber blew himself up in Afikpo North Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday afternoon fuelling panic and fear among residents.
