Sunday,June 6 is indeed a day to remember as two leaders of Pentecostal Ministries died within hours apart
The first whose death made headlines was acclaimed televangelist popularly called TB Joshua.
TB Joshua was the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations SCOAN,a Lagos-based charismatic christian centre.

Athough TB Joshua’s church had the characteristics of pentecostal churches,he was disallowed to join the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria. Prominent among leaders of that group, Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and Ayo Oritsejafor doubted the sincerity of his ministry arguing that TB Joshua was not mentored by any known Man of God as they. Joshua was said to have told them that his annointing was from his mother’s womb.
.TB Joshua was 57.
For Pastor Stephen Akinola, the General Superintendent of the Redemption Ministries,a Port Harcourt- based faith based organisation, his death came few hours after TB Joshua’s.
Akinola a native of Igboho Oyo State was until his death, the founder and General Overseer of the Redemption Ministries Eastern Bye- pass Port Harcourt and said to have mentored several pastors under his tutelage and led many to Christ.
His Church is a beehive of activities for church members and intending members and visitors alike especially the Tuesday women clinic and Sunday services.
