The Kebbi State Government has announced the rescue of more kidnapped students and teachers of the Federal Government Girls College FGGC Birnin Yauri.
Bandits had invaded the school on Thursday afternoon abducting unspecified number of students and teachers.
The Governor of the state,Atiku Bagudu who confirmed the development on Friday evening commended the security operatives for their quick response in the rescue of the abductees.
Earlier, the Nigerian Army had reported that one of the students was found dead as a result of exhaustion .
President Muhammadu Buhari had also on Thursday while on a visit to Borno charged the military to take the fight to the bandits.
