The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the killing of 14 bandits during attack on a police station in Katsina- Ala, town.
The Command’s Spokesperson,Kate Anene who confirmed the incident to newsmen said some bandits were arrested and detained by operatives at the Katsina- Ala Divisional Police Station for Investigation.
She said following the detention of the suspects, gunmen numbering about 50 on Sunday morning stormed the police station in an attempt to free the suspects.
According to her, the operatives were alert and engaged the armed men gunning down 14 of them in the process while others escaped.
