
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday reiterated Nigeria commitment to the attainment of universal health coverage.
Osinbajo disclosed this at the formal launch of Modular Healthcare Facility at Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos by Alpha Mead.
He said that 2030 agenda for sustainable development as demonstrated by the present launch of the basic health care provision fund in 2019 to accelerate the attainment of universal health coverage.
Osinbajo who was represented by the senior special assistant to president on SDG, Orelope Adefolure said that “Nigeria is making unwavering effort through various ministry, departments and agencies of government.
“To improve both geographical and financial aspect of quality healthcare services through aggressive healthcare infrastructure, development and function horizontally and vertically” he said.
Osinbajo said that the Alpha Mead has harness it’s scientific and technological expertise and making available this provision and facilities in Nigeria which would go a long way in supporting Nigeria journey towards 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
He said that Alpha Mead has the potential to support government effort.
Earlier, the Group Chairman, Alpha Mead Group, Mutiu Sunmonu has said that the launch of the product was another confirmation that the company brand promise of “We Care” was not just a platitude.
