For Ebiala Mary, 31 August,2021 would remain a day of joy and remembrance as it was the day she was traditionally married to her hearthrob, Daniel who she described as not only a patner but a reliable ally.
Ebiala Mary Onyejowo was born to the royal family of Ododo Ebiala of Ebo Yala and the Agbaka Otiwas of Okpoma at Igoli Ogoja in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.
She studied at University of Calabar were she obtained a Bachelor degree from the Department of Modern Languages and Translations Studies. Not done with that level of Education, Ebiala Mary proceeded to the University of Abuja and studied international Relations and Diplomacy under the Department of political science.
She has served in various organizations both public and private establishments, meeting top government officials and made contacts, mobilisation and networking as key elements profiling her activism.
” I became a political activist where i project good leadership through the instrumentality of good mentorship. Presently i am the secretary of a national group known as Legacy of Excellence. This group has Ministers’ wives inclusive and experienced females political leaders and directors of different organizations with the wive of one of the key political player of the nation as the chairperson and other Zonal leaders as President of the group, and State’s Coordinators.
“I met with my Husband Daniel Adache where i am resident in Abuja. We both worshipped in the same parish and are members of an association in the church known as Legion of Mary. Daniel has been my very close associate in the church. Our relationship gradually transited to Marriage. We had our marriage course early this year and went further for the traditional rite in my village (Ebo Yala) where bride price was paid to the family led by Uncle John Ajima Ododo and elders of the community. We proceeded to Okuku Yala for the celebration, my uncle ,Pastor Timothy Odey Obe and his beautiful wife, Evangelist Kate Odey Obe showered us with love. Meanwhile, friends who came with us from Abuja and other parts of the nation celebrated us with other members of the family and the Adache’s family. My aunty Mrs Odey .Ofie Stella (Long man) all graced my occasion. We were advised to love and respect one another and also remember that we the Yala people and the Idoma’s are from one ancestorial history.
Ebiala Mary thanked all those who made the occasion remarkable.
