Ruth Ngladar Pogu, one of the over two hundred and fifty Chibok School girls in Borno State abducted by Boko Haram terrorists on April 14, 2014 has regained her freedom.
Pogu who arrived Borno State in company of her repentant Boko Haram husband and two children is now converted to Islam as she was seen wearing a moslem hood.
Some of the Chibok girls who were unlucky to re gain their freedom were said to be forcefully converted and married off by their abductors while some were killed.
A statement by Isa Gusau, Spokesmsn to the Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum said Ruth and her husband surrendered these to the Nigerian Military on July 28 in Bama.
The development was reportedly kept secret by the the governor and the security team while trying to ascertain her identity through contact with her parents and association of parents of the missing school girls .
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum who reunited the girl with her family said more of the kidnapped school girls would be freed.
The return of the girl and family is not unconnected with the sustained bombardment of the strongholds of the jihadists in the state by the military leading to deaths of many terrorists while those who escaped the offensive are fleeing for their lives.
