
Kenyan female marathoners were in high spirit on Saturday, August 7 as they brilliantly ran the 40 kilometer race finishing first and second places
,Peres Jepchirchir finished 2.27 .20 earning Gold medal while her teamate and world record holder,Brigid Kosgei finished 2.27.36 with the Silver medal .

With Jepchirchi win,Kenya now has 3 gold on the media table placing the country first on the continent and number 25 in the world .. The first gold medalist was Japheth Korir Men’s 800 meters while Faith Kipyegon F won gold for Women’s 1500m .

Meanwhile the Nigerian Contingent to the 2020 Olympics are back home
