Who is behind the protest of youths demanding the immediate sack of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Prince Uche Secondus in Abuja.?
This is what many are asking as the Youths under the operational name Save PDP Group, stormed the party secretariat on Monday.
The Youths cited the defections of influencial party members including governors to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC as one of the decisions compelling its protest against the Chairman.
The group believed to have emerged from Rivers State and led by one Tamunotonye Inioribo, accused Secondus of divisions in the party to achieve his selfish interest adding that under him, the party had seen more crisis in the various organs of the party.
Meanwhile, A meeting of the PDP Governors Forum is in progress at the Akwa Ibom governor’s lodge on Abuja.
The meeting holding behind closed doors is being Presided by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Sokoto state,Aminu Waziri Tambuwal .
Although no reason had been given for the meeting, analyst trailing trends in the polity believe the agitations for sack of the Secondus might be top on the agenda.
Thomas ,a street vendor believed that the meeting of the governors “would fast track the sack of the Secondus led NWC since they ( governors) now wear the toga of owners of the party.”
