Oh time where have you gone?
I feel your golden pointers like a knife
Piercing through my heart
The nostalgic feeling reminiscent of a
Beating drum
A foolish man ignores your roaring
But a wise man listens to your whispers as soft as the rustlings of leaves
Oh where have you gone time?
From the suffrage of the 1910s
To the roaring of the 1920s
Plagued by the world wars,
The world cried and even now, the mourning never stops
Yesterday’s babies are today’s adults
The young are aging
And the adults are aging
Till one day they lie in the bosom
And turn to dust
Oh time where have you gone?
Each passing day I’m reminded of your presence
We toil everyday and worry in vain
The problems in the world forever surging
Driving us insane
My people forever feening to be free from the shackles of colonialism
We created an even more terrifying monster in tribalism
Oh time where have you gone?
The legends we looked up to have now returned to dust
What shall we become in the years to come
I cast my anxiety and wait
For my savior to return.
Love it!😃
