The people of Ishekiri of the Kingdom of Warri ,Delta State on Saturday,21st August,2021 filed out in their numbers to crown 37 – year old Tsola Emiko as the Ogiame Atuawase the third,Olu of Warri.
The Coronation drew the high and mighty kings and formidable political actors.
The occasion was full of grandeur and historical speeches given to the pleasure and amazement of not only Warri citizens but all nobles, and men and women of all walks as well as television viewers.
Speaking after his coronation, the Ogiame Atuase the third who described his coronation as divine and not to fill a space prayed for the peace and prosperity of the Warri Kingdom.
Reversing the curses laid on the throne by previous occupants who were betrayed and mistreated, the King urged the people to let old things to pass away and bring their capacity to bear on the new dawn
King Etiko whose love for God was very visible for all through his sonorous rendition at the coronation advised the youths of Niger Delta to look beyond oil to the rich cultural heritage of the region.
He extended hand of fellowship to Warri neighbours saying while it was important for his kingdom to prosper, it was the wish of the Warri Kingdom to see its neighbors also prosper
” We extend specially towards our neighbors.Our Ijaw,Urhobo and Ilaje neighbors.a hand of invitation to peace and development.And it is not our desire to prosper in isolation,we desire that our neighbors prosper also . We recognize that the peace qnd prosperity is a shared one built on righteousness and justice which is the motto of this our reign and the foundation upon which God’s throne is built.
” At this point,we make bold to say that our emergence is not simply the filling of a role,we would be redefining the essence of the throne of the Olu of Warri.”

The Ogiame Atuase also pledged to redefine the essence of the womenfolk as he assured that to give women their pride of place.
