The Police in Lagos has dragged a- 25- year- old man,Yasuru Abdullahi before a Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos for allegedly biting off the breast of one Miss Nkechi Anosike during a fight.
The Police said the incident happened on August 22, 2021 at Alhaji Urhi, Street Oregon in Lagos.
The Police Prosecutor,Kenrich Nomaya told the court that the accused had allegedly made sexual advances to the victim who refused to allow him have his way.
Nomaya said during the fight, the accused grabbed the victim’s breast and bit off her nipple
He said the victim was rushed to the hospital where she was treated and discharged after which she reported the incident to the police.
Following her complaint,” the police arrested, detained and charged the accused”
The accused was arrainged on a three- count charge of sexual harassment, assault and breach of peace . He however,pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor told the court that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 245 and 263 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State,2015.
The Presiding Magistrate Mrs Elizabeth Adeola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must be gainfully employed and have evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government
She thereafter, adjourned the case to September 15,2021 for mention.while ordering that the defendant be remanded in the Kirikiri Correctional Center pending the perfection of his bail conditions.
