
The Chief of Defence Simulation, Major General GA Umelu has called on participants of 82 Division Nigerian Army Logistics Simulation Exercise code named Exercise KARFIN DOKI VII to key into practices of the simulation which will aid them in real time situation. He made the call at the Defence Simulation Center Jaji during the opening ceremony of the Exercise on 6 September 2021.
Maj Gen Umelo stated that the 5 days exercise is based on fictitious scenes on strategies and execution of logistics operation with ease using computer network to depict situation in real time.

He added that the Exercise is an avenue for commanders at all levels to plan and succeed in various operations without or less casualties and for the staff to know what is expected of them at any given time. It would also aid to apply professional knowledge and competence in achieving successes in battle situation.
The simulation exercise was conducted in phases such as delivery of orders, war gaming, media briefing as well as general after action review. The final segment gave room for brainstorming, corrections, observations and lapses to be build upon during future exercise.

Declaring the Exercise close on 9 September, the Chief of Defence Simulation reiterated the need for participants to take cognisance of what they have learnt and apply it professionally at all times adding that the centre will be ever to partner with all military formations in simulation training.
The Exercise draw participants from the Nigerian Army College of Logistics led by Commandant Major General Enendu, General Officer Commanding 82 Division Major General Taureed Lagbaja, Observers, Staff Officer’s of the center among others.
