The General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Joint Task Force (Northwest) operation HADARIN DAJI Major General Uwem U Bassey on Friday, September 10,2021, inaugurated General Court Martial (GCM) at Headquarters 8 Division. The GCM was to try Twenty personnel involved in various offensive within 8 Division Area of Responsibility and also found wanting during Operation HADARIN DAJI.
In his inaugural remarks, General Bassey urged the court to be fair and honest in its judgement. He therefore cautioned the prosecutor and the defence counsel not to prolong matters unnecessarily to delay judgement..
