The remains of Late Flight Lieutenant Chinecherem Maduka Okoronkwo has been laid to rest in Amangele, Ndielu Ugwueke Bende, Abia State amidst tears and condolences.
Late Flight Lieutenant Okoronkwo paid the supreme price on 24 August 2021 when security of NDA Kaduna, was breached by criminals.
Condoling the family, the Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Maj Gen Ibrahim Manu Yusuf, advised the wife and family to be strong and be rest assured that his departure is not in vain.
The Commandant stated that God in His infinite mercy will continue to guide, provide and strengthen the family as Armed Forces continue to support them.
In his exhortation, the presiding Pastor of Ugwueke, Pastor Samuel Ezeaku, admonished that we should count it all joy in every situation and shouldn’t allow temptation, circumstances of any kind to weigh us down.
Late Flight Lieutenant Okoronkwo was laid to rest with full military honour.
The burial was witnessed by Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General MB Wabili, Commander 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General RT Utsaha, Commander 211 Quick Response Group Commodore I Ayo and members of Ugwueke community.
