Ogbonna Nwuke, Father, Husband and Brother has every reason to celebrate his birthday in any way he chooses because of the joy of adding another year , the blessings of each year past and the grace of surmounting the variegated complexities, tough challenges that accompany human existence.
Ogbonna’s family and friends describe him as a man with a good heart, public spirited and selfless. Little wonder he commands crowd followership in his home town, constituency and state.
Ogbonna is a Journalist above board, part of his achievements while working in Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation was introduction of the Weekly current affairs programme, “Spotlight”, editing news and writing commentaries that endeared him to the elites within the covered areas.. He resigned as Editor and founded The Port Harcourt Telegraph Newspaper, a tabloid which focusses primarily on development of the Niger Delta and the country in general .
Having made a huge impact on the society with unrivaled reportage of events that defined the clime and changed social and political oerspectives and narratives, Ogbonna ventured into politics,first was his appointment as the Director Press Affairs to the Governor ( Chibuike Amaechi in October 2007) second as Commissioner of Information and third, Commissioner for Commerce. After serving the government at the state level, Ogbonna aspired for a space at the 7th National Assembly to represent the good people of Etche and Omuma,where he could attract more dividends of democracy to them. He was elected in the general elections of 2011 and sworn in in June 2011. He served diligently presented bills and gave his constituents the much needed empowerment until May 2015 .
After that, he went back to doing what he knew best doing- journalism. He rebranded the Port Harcourt Telegraph taking advantage of the offers of the new media forms ( Social media) and taking his political party the All Progressives Congress APC which had become an opposition in Rivers State to float in the corridors of relevance.
As the Spokesman of the APC, Ogbonna was humility personified, and preoccupied 24/7 on providing robust opposition to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP government in Rivers State.
Ogbonna a lover of his pen takes issues affecting the press and pen fraternity seriously. He is a peace maker,troubleshooter and loved by colleagues.

The birthday began with an early morning devotion on Thursday in by family in Abuja and in the diaspora
