Many reportedly killed as hoodlums on Sunday afternoon invaded the DSS and Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC Stations in Nnewi, Anambra State and set them ablaze.
Current matters gathered that the arsonists in their numbers stormed the offices and overpowered the personnel before putting fire to the facilities.
An eye witness who preferred to be unnamed said the invaders were chanting” We don’t want to see any Nigerian Flag on our soil .
Recently,a lot of killing and destruction have been taking place in South- East Region of Nigeria following agitatiins for a separate state by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB . IPOB and its militant wing Eastern Security Network ESN have also ground to a halt economic activities in the region with their draconian directive forcing people to sit at home.
