
… Vow To Ensure Free Movement In Region
South East Governors and the Traditional Council ( Ohanaeze Ndigbo) met in Enugu on Tuesday with a resolution condemning the Monday sit- at- home order issued by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.
The governors said the sit- at- home- orders were not justifiable as they have crippled economic and social activities , more so when they”mostly issued by our people in diaspora who do not feel the pains”
Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ebonyi state,Dave Umahi governors said” In view of the information that even IPOB had cancelled the sit- at- home, the meeting resolved that governors and all the people of the South East do everything within the law to ensure that there is no further sit- at- home in the South East and that people are allowed to freely move about in the region.”
The governors who refused to discuss Nnamdi Kanu’s incarceration however, resolved to join hands with security agencies to stop the killing in the region.
