No fewer than six persons reportedly lost their lives on Tuesday when gunmen stormed a rally organised by the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in Ihiala in Anambra State.
Current matters gathered that the gunmen attacked security operatives attached to dignitaries attending the rally.
The convoy of the state governor,Willie Obiano though trapped for hours was said to be unaffected by the gunmen bullets as the gunmen took offensive on security personnel killing six.
The Spokesman of the Anambra State Police Command , Ikenga Tochukwu who confirmed the incident to journalists said no police officer died as the police were able to repel the attack adding that the security operatives recovered one Ak 47 rifle, two magazines with 30 rounds of ammunition and four vehicles.
