The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, FCT and Senior Pastor, Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, Maitama, Reverend Dr. Jonah Samson, has charged Christians to remain focused in serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rev Dr Samson made the call during a Foundation laying ceremony of Voice of Nigeria, VON, Zion Fellowship Chapel, at its Corporate Headquarters, Wuse II, Abuja.
He noted that the CHAPEL will be a place of Prayer, deliverance, a place where staff will seek God and receives answers in reference to the book of Proverbs 18:10, which says, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe”
In a sermon, the Chaplain, Radio House Chapel, Pastor Egobi Philip, said it is a command from God to build VON Zion Fellowship Chapel, saying the battle has been taken over by God, taking his text from the book of Exodus 25:8 & 9 “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it”.
Pastor Philip, who explained that there is profit in building for God, encouraged the staff to be part of God’s work and make themselves available for God use because the Lord is set to bless the ministry of VON Zion Fellowship.
Responding, Director General, Voice of Nigeria, Mr Osita Okechukwu, who was represented by Executive Director News, Mr Ahaziah Suleiman, expressed gratitude to God and the management of Voice of Nigeria for giving the staff a place of worship, noting that the delay was because of the processes of seeking approval from FCDA to build the Chapel.
“We wanted the right thing to be done before erecting the structure” he added.
Mr Ahaziah urged the staff to make use of the Chapel to seek God face and make personal commitment for the development of the CHAPEL, saying it’s a project of faith, which by grace of God will be completed and Commissioned to the glory of God.
The highlight of the programme was the laying of foundation, offering of Prayers and Praises for VON Zion Fellowship Chapel by Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, FCT, Reverend Dr Jonah Samson, Choir Ministration and fundraising for the building.
Our Correspondent reports that a similar approval was also granted to the Muslims to build a place of worship within the premises.
