Niger State Government has demolished the house of the prime suspect in the abduction of Staff of the University of Abuja ( UNIABUJA) .
The suspect, Mohammadu Umar, allegedly bought his house located in Nakagbe in Bosso Local Government Area of the state with proceeds of kidnapping and other crimes.
The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Emmanuel Umaru who disclosed this to newsmen on Saturday said the suspect is currently in the custody of security operatives
Umaru said the confession of the suspect led to the release of the kidnapped staff of the University Of Abuja.
He said the government was battle ready to flush out criminals from the state as it would synergise with the police and other security agencies to rid the state of criminal elements.
” We will not allow kidnappers,Bandits or any criminal to make the state a safe heaven
” We will give all the neccessary support to the police and other security agencies to the ongoing fight against banditry, kidnapping and other crimes.”
The Commissioner called on the people of the state to be vigilant and report any strange movements to the security agencies.
