The Lagos State Government has ordered indefinite closure of Dowen College, Lekki over the murder of a twelve- year old student, Sylvester Oromoni.
The State Commissioner for Education,Mrs Folashade Adefisayo announced the closure on Friday after a meeting with the management and staff of the school .
The Commissioner said the college will be shut pending the determination of investigation into the cause of the death of the student.
Oromoni was reportedly murdered by cultists following his refusal to join the cult group, and reports allegedly indicate that two of the students who perpetrated the act have been flown abroad by their parents.
On Thursday, many parents visited the school to check on their wards with many threatening to withdraw their children from the school to avert a recurrence of the incident.
