He explained “I actually during the peak of Covid-19 last year, I donated food items to widows, thereafter God instructed me to reach wdowers, upon that outreach, the course of donations, I saw the dilapidated state of his house and God immediately said to me, I should build him a house, it was on God’s Leadings.
AREGBOKHAI, who is also the President of the Rotary Club of Ekpoma, also donated a furnished four bedroom building project to the Aregbokhai Divine Orphanage & Widow’s Centre, Ujemen Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria. The Rotarian said the gesture was part of his Commitment to ensuring a better life for the less privileged in society.
“We are providing a place for people to stay so they’re not on the streets and have access to food and clothing. Having a home to live in is a basic right. By providing this shelter, vulnerable people can live more dignified lives and enter back into society. The long-term impact for this building project is that vulnerable people in this community will be able to live fulfilled lives, safe from problems and dangers on the streets. Having a home to live in is the beginning of many people’s route back into society and will enable many people here (the elderly, widows, students, the least privileged) to live comfortable decent lives in their communities” the Rotarian, Igor Powerful, said.
