Six persons lost their lives following multiple accidents involving 38 persons on Monday along the Lagos- Abeokuta Expressway.
This was made known in a statement signed by Florence Okpe, the Spokesperson of the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC.
According to Okpe, the accident was suspected to be caused by excessive speeding, dangerous driving and loss of control
She said three vehicles including a Mitsubishi Canter with registration number XS595JJJ, MAZDA BUS E2000 with registration number LSR266YD and a MAZDA E2000 BUS with registration number UNDOIYE
The FRSC spokesperson said the accident happened when the driver of the” Mitsubishi canter was trying to negotiate a turning without observing road and the Mazda bus lost control and crashed on it.”
The statement said that the corpses have been deposited at the state hospital morgue while the injured victims were taken to the State Hospital for medical attention
