The All Progressives Congress APC has formally notified me Independent National Electoral Commission INEC of its decision to hold the national convention on February 26,2022.
The development comes a few days after an official of INEC revealed that the ruling party had yet to submit its notification.
In a letter jointly signed by Mai Mala Buni and Senator James Akpanudodehe Chairman and Secretary respectively, Extraordinary Convention Planning Commitee and addressed to the INEC Chairman on.February 2, the APC informed the Electoral Commission saying” our great party has scheduled to hold its National Convention on Saturday,26th February,2022.
” This serves as a formal notification pursuant to the provisions of section 85 of the Electoral Act (2010) as amended. Kindly arrange for your officials to monitor the exercise accordingly.
“While hoping to receive your cooperation, please accept the assurances of ours highest esteem.’ it said.
