The Commandant, Army War College, Nigeria, Major General Bamidele Alli Alabi, has pledged the commitment of the College towards producing highly trained and academically driven senior commanders to better meet the training needs of the Armed Forces in combating both internal and external aggression confronting the country.
The Commandant, gave the commitment when he led a team of senior military officers on a courtesy visit to the Provost Marshal, Headquarters, Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, Major General OR Aiyenigba in his office at the Headquarters, Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, Abuja.
Gen Alabi stated that the College under his watch is poised to achieving and delivering on the Chief of the Army Staff’s mandates.
He further reiterating commitment for the Armed Forces to develop the right skills and knowledge of its personnel to tackle the security threats bedeviling the country.
Gen Alabi also assured that the Army War College, Nigeria, would remain focused and abiding in its mission of producing well-trained, educated and inspired operational level leaders for the Nigerian Army in particular and the Armed Forces in general.
The Commandant, additionally commended the Provost Marshal, Headquarters, Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, Maj Gen OR Aiyenigba for his leadership qualities, and his continued support the College has enjoyed so far, calling on the Corps for more partnership is the area of manpower development and capacity building.
In his remarks, the Provost Marshal, congratulated the Commandant, Army War College, on his appointment and urged him to remain committed and resolute to result driven approaches of maintaining the standard always.
The Provost Marshal assured the team of continued assistance in areas of manpower development and capacity building.
He added that the Corps and the College would continue to work together towards attaining same goals to make the Nigerian Army a great institution and pride of the nation.
Highlights of the visit includes the signing of visitor’s book, presentation of souvenir and group photograph.
