An All Progressive Congress stalwart and former Kogi state governorship aspirant during the 2019 general elections, Prince Mustapha Mona Audu is urging the youths and leadership of the APC to ensure that the youths are properly included in the positions for grabs during the party’s National Convention slated for March 26 this year.
He made the call in Abuja in reaction to the shifting of the Convention from its initial date of February 26, adding that more needs to done to carry the youths along for the progress of the party.
Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, who has carved a niche for himself in the ruling party due to his persistent call for youth inclusion in running the activities of the party and governance of the nation in general has again said that the youths will work hard to gain many positions during the national Convention of the ruling APC.
He called on the youths to brace up for the challenges ahead.
“As young people we are going to discus with our leaders to know what positions could be available for the youths, then we will come together to say these are the positions we are looking forward to. These does not mean we will not support every body, however nothing is cast on stone”, he said.
Prince Audu, however, said all politicking must start and end within the framework of dialogue hence, his decision to seek the advice of the elders of the party on how the youths could achieve their aspirations come March 26.
He called on the youths to actively participate in the Convention for the general progress of the party.
“At the convention ground It is going to be a lot of lobbying and horse trading; but you will first need to buy a ticket to win the lottery. If you are not in the race you can never win it, that is the truth of the matter. So, we will encourage young people to buy their forms, but we will also discuss with our leaders so that the positions they can give us, we take, the ones we can snatch, we snatch” , Prince Audi remarked.
