The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar, has inaugurated the Ministerial Delivery Task Team as advised by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
Speaking while inaugurating the Task Team in Abuja, on Friday, the Permanent Secretary said that the Team was put together with a view to ensuring the realization of the nine priority areas of Government as it relates to the Ministry’s mandate and deliverables.
According to him, the move is targeted at effective reporting and coordination of members’ respective Agencies/Departmental Programmes/Projects, as desk officers for the purpose of success of government programmes and projects as they affect the lives of Nigerians.
Represented by the Director, Federation and Elite Athletes Department, (FEAD) of the Ministry, Dr. Simon Ebhojaiye, the Permanent Secretary explained that the inauguration of the Task Team arose from the reports of the 2021 Mid Term Ministerial Mandate Performance Retreat and the recommendations thereof on suggested performances in four key areas of the Ministry.
He assured that the Ministry will spare no effort to ensure accelerated improvement on these very important components of the Ministerial Mandate initiative.
The Permanent Secretary, who expressed optimism on the ability of the Task Team to deploy their wealth of experience towards the realisation of the policy objectives of the present administration, urged them to adopt the OSGF report as their guide.
Responding, the representative of the Ministerial Delivery Task Team, Mr. Esege Esege, assured the Permanent Secretary of the Team’s commitment to discharging their responsibilities in line with the policy thrust of the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration.
