The theme and logo of the Dala Dry port will be unveiled on Monday , March 7 ,2022 by the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in Abuja.
The unveiling is a prelude to the Kano Economic Investment summit, which is expected to showcase the Dala Dry Port as a major transport infrastructure and other sectors like the Kano economic city that will stimulate industrialisation and commerce.
In a statement signed by the Kano state Commissioner for information, Mallam Mohammed Garba, it stated that the Dry port would make Kano a hub of domestic and international trade, thereby diversifying the economic base of the state and the country at large.
The unveiling of the logo and theme is expected to have in attendance, major stakeholders in the industry, which includes, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA), the Shipping lines, the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarding (CRFFN).
According to the statement, the Chairman Dangote group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the Chairman BUA group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu and host of others from the business community are expected to be in attendance.
His royal Highness, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, will lead other royal fathers to the event which will take place at the Lagos Hall of Transport Hilton, Abuja.
