Former Central Bank Governor has taken oath of office as Governor of Anambra State.
He was sworn in by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu and has inspected a guard of honour
The event was attended by dignitaries including the immediate past governor,Willie Obiano and his wife,Ebelechukwu and wife of the late Ikemba of Nnewi,Odumegwu Ojukwu in attendance.
The ceremony did not end without a street fight orchestrated by Obiano’s wife who reportedly has an unbridled temper.
It was gathered that dignitaries had already seated when the wife of the former governor stepped in and moved to the front row where Bianca was seated and slapped her.
Mrs Obiano was taken away by security operatives from the grip of Bianca who appeared to be in shock of the public display of rudeness by the former governor’s wife.
Her husband,Willie also appearing shocked,left the venue of the inauguration.
Although what led to the latest fisticuffs has yet to be unfolded, information at our disposal indicates that the problem between the duo may have stretched over a long period of time.
Bianca was said to have expressed reservation over absence of Willie Obiano at her husband’s memorial lecture in 2019 claiming that Obiano was one of the greatest beneficiaries of her husband’s legacy.
Bianca did not see any reason why Obiano would send his Deputy to represent him at the occasion instead of attending the lecture by himself.
She said” Tell Obiano that there is no evil spirit in the venue of Ojukwu Memorial lecture.
” This is the second time the event is holding and Obiano doesn’t want to attend by himself”
It was learnt that efforts to bring the warring parties together had yielded very little result.
