Senator Abdullahi Adamu has emerged as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC after about 21 months of controversial caretaker regime following the outster of Adams Oshiomole- led National Working Committee in June 2020.
Adamu , a serving Senator and former governor of Nasarawa State was returned unopposed through a concensus arrangement adopted and spearheaded by President Muhammadu Buhari a few weeks ago.
At the Party’s National Convention held at the Eagle Square in Abuja, six aspirants who had sworn to give Adamu a good fight, withdrew from the contest paving the way for his crowning as the National Chairman of the APC.
He was announced winner of the contest by the Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru after a voice vote by leaders and members of the APC.
The Senator representing Nasarawa West took over from Yobe State Governor and Chairman of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Commitee CECPC,Mai Mala Buni.
