The National Executive Committee NEC of the All Progressives Congress APC has ended its meeting in Abuja with presentation of costs of forms for various offices for the 2023 general election.
The party put the cost of Presidential interest and nomination forms at N100 million
The cost of governorship expression of interest and nomination forms is put at N50million while Senate and House of Representatives forms cost N20million and N10million respectively.
Expression of Interest and nomination forms for House of Assembly seat costs N2million.
Speaking at the end of the NEC meeting on Wednesday at Transcorp Hilton,, Spokesman of the APC, Mr Felix Morka said the expression of interest form for the Presidential election is N30 million while the nomination form will cost N70 million.
No fewer than 8 top personalities of the ruling party have declared interest for the nation’s number one job. They include the Vice President,Prof. Yemi Osinbajo,Chief Bola Tinubu,Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi,Dr Chris Ngige,Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State.
Meanwhile, the party has adopted the Indirect option for the conduct of its primaries at various levels.
It was gathered that the 19 governors were opposed to the option of consensus at a meeting with President Muhammadu on Tuesday evening
Buhari thereafter, asked all aspirants to test their popularity on the field.
