The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Talen says the Federal Government will not abandon children and family of late Ekwueme singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu.
Speaking at the APC Women’s Leaders Capacity Building Workshop in Abuja, Tallen said her ministry is reaching out to various stakeholders including governors to help the 4 children left behind by the late Singer.
” Government will do everything possible to stand by the children and her family to ensure that this children are well cared for. We have three tiers of government and we have members representing that constituency.I give you an example, after my visit last week to the family, the honourable member representing her, the late Osinachi is our Deputy Chief Whip, She is from Abia ,they come from the same village . She was in London when she heard,. she flew back came straight to my office and thanked me and paid a visit on the family.
” She is a true mother,apart from her,we have her mother and sisters living on their lives in Enugu. They came to see me yesterday they intend to move the children to Enugu tommorow. I have prepared a letter to the governor and wife of the governor of Enugu to also support.
” I have also prepared a letter to the governor of Abia where she comes from and I know this two governors will willingly do everything to support them.”
