The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU says it will consider appeal by religious bodies calling on it to resume work.
President of the Union,Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke made it known via ASUU official Twitter handle Saturday evening.
He said” the Union would consider the appeal and make its decision known.
According to him, the Nigerian Inter- Religious Council ( NIREC) had appealed to the striking unions on Thursday . He said such appeals are not new to ASUU.
” It is an appeal and our members would consider it. It’s not a request but an appeal and appeals are usually for consideration”
