The Federal Government has suspended the Accountant General of the Federation,Mr Ahmed Idris over alleged N80BILLION fraud.
The Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning,Mrs Zainab Ahmed through her Special Adviser on Media,Mr Tanko Abdullahi said on Wednesday that the suspension is indefinite
According to him, the decision was to enable unhindered investigation into the fraud allegation
Idris was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Kano on Monday in connection with diversion of funds and money laundering activities to the tune of over N80BILLION.
