… Says EFCC failed to provide enough evidence that warrants his continued detention.
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted embattled Senator, Owelle Rochas Okorocha N500m bail over alleged N2.9 billion fraud.
Okorocha was arrested by the EFCC about six days ago at his Maitama residence in Abuja over what the EFCC said was an attempt by the Senator to evade arrest and justice and had been in the Anti graft custody since then.
But Justice Inyang Ekwo on Tuesday granted Senator Okorocha’s bail in the sum of N500m with a surety to sign on same amount on the grounds that the EFCC did not show enough proof why Okorocha should be permanently detained.
