
The Catholic Diocese of Enugu has prohibited its clergy from attending all religious and liturgical activities in the Adoration Ministry’s Chaplaincy,Enugu following the consistent violation of pastoral guidelines and directives by Fr Camilus Ejike Mbaka.
In a statement the ,Bishop of Enugu Diocese, , Callistus V. C Onaga said his decision was based on the premise that the” teachings and utterances of Fr Ejike Mbaka are not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church.
He said the ban will be in force until “the due canonical process initiated by the Diocese is concluded.
,Fr Mbaka has been a thorn in flesh of the leaders of the nation through his prophecies and ferocious preaching believed to have brought down some and uplifted others.
Recently, he told the presidential candidate of Labour party, Peter Obi that he will not be elected president because of his stinginess.,a comment that generated sour remarks by followers of Obi,a former governor of Anambra State against Mbaka.
Mbaka has since apologized and prayed for Obi.
