A political support group of a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani codenamed “Defenders,” with membership cutting across the three Senatorial Districts of Cross River State, Saturday visited Senator Prince Bassey Otu’s Campaign Office in Calabar and declared their unalloyed support for the APC gubernitorial candidate.
The group stated that their support is not unconnected with the APC Flagbearer’s lofty antecedents, wide acceptance and groundswell support across the state. They also said they believe in equity and social justice as they lauded Governor Ben Ayade for his insistence on Back2South, which has assured Cross Riverians and the future generations of the continuity of balance in the power equation as well as allayed the fears of minority in the state
Mr. Boniface Okache, Chairman, Contact and Mobilization, Senator Prince Campaign Organization (Prince is Coming), who received the group, appreciated them for their bold step and assured them of full integration into the progressive political family.
Okache added that members of the group have done what really captures the essence of their name, Defenders, as they seek to defend natural equity and social justice, lauding Governor Ben Ayade for keeping to his promise of handing over power to the South.
