Uzugbani Ekpeye, the apex social cultural organisation in Ekpeye land now has a new Executive.
The twenty – nine member executive were elected by members of the ninety nine communities that make up Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality.at a Delegates conference on Saturday June 25, 2022 at Ekpeye House, Ahoada town in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State.
The new executive is to pilot the affairs of the organisation for the next four years.
Declaring the results after the peaceful election, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, High Chief Godwin Ossai announced Dr. Ukechukwu Nyemenim as duly elected President General of Uzugbani Ekpeye, High Chief Naboth Agilegbe Blacky, Deputy President General and Dr. Friday Onyije, General Secretary.
The ELECO chairman also announced High Chief Grace Dixon as Vice President representing Igbu Ubie Kingdom, Comrade Samuel Olimini, Vice President representing Igbu Igbuduya Kingdom, Hon Beatrice Awala, Vice President representing Igbu Akoh Kingdom, High Chief Orisa Ogoligo Ekpette, Vice President representing Igbu Upata Kingdom, Eso Okoroba, Vice President representing Igbu Ehuda Kingdom, Dickson Okpara Igirigi, Vice President representing Igbu Ugbobi Kingdom and Comrade Ogboka Chris Umeda as Publicity Secretary.
Others are Rosemary Nwugo, Legal Adviser, German Prince, Treasurer, Chibunna Prince Allen, Auditor 1, Edima Uche, Financial Secretary, Silvanus Ochoma, Director of Youth Affairs, Dr Juliet Berewari, Director of Women Affairs and Edward Ide, Provost 1.
Vincent Gift Ogbani was returned elected as Deputy Secretary, Kingsley Okpara Uwho, Assistant Secretary 1 and Comrade Progress Joseph, Assistant Secretary 2 while Engr David Emmanuel and Buduzhi Ishmael will serve as Auditor 2 and Provost 2.
