Super Eagles Captain and right winger, Ahmed Musa has donated N100million to five thousand widows and other less privileged women in plateau state.
A member of Musa’s media team, Williams Gyang made this known to newsmen on Tuesday in Jos.
He said the donation was part of the footballer’s philantrophic gesture towards cushioning the effects of economic hardship faced by the women in the state.
” The economic hardship that people are facing is huge and this is my little way of showing love and care for widows and less privileged persons in our society”
He called on spirited individuals to support the poor in society.
One of the beneficiaries of Musa ‘s philanthropy,Maryam Abdullahi thanked the footballer for the kind gesture describing him as Godsent saying ” We are finding it difficult to feed our families because of the high cost of living.The money will go along way to alleviate our suffering and boost our petty businesses “.
The plateau born footballer has made other donations in the past.
In February 2022, Musa donated the sum of N2million naira to a member of Atlanta 1996 Gold medal winning team, Kingsley Obiekwu who had financial challenges.
