The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC has warned that a terrorist group, the Islamic State of West Africa ( ISWAP) has concluded plans to carry out series of attacks on selected targets including schools churches and other institutions in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja.
ISWAP claimed to have been responsible for the Tuesday jailbreak in Kuje custodial centre where 68 Boko Haram terrorists and other criminals escaped.
In a memo entitled ” Renewed Threat Of Attack By ISWAP On Targets Within The FCT”, dated July 8,2022 issued by Peter Maigari, NSCDC FCT Commandant, and sighted by our reporter, stated ” Certified Intelligence reveals that members of the decimated terrorists group, Islamic State in West Africa Province ( ISWAP) have concluded plans to launch more coordinated and spontaneous attacks on selected targets within the FCT and have declared war against Christians in Nigeria “
