Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has denied knowledge of a suit purportedly filed by one Newgent Ekamon and he.
The governor made this known at the commissioning of the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters on Friday.
Wike disowned the lawyers of the said suit saying that it was the handiwork of mischief makers who want to use his name to score a cheap political point.
According to the governor, he had fourteen days to file after the presidential primary but he did not .
The governor also referred to the report that he ordered the removal of PDP flags as another lie peddled by his traducers on social media.
The media is awash with a suit before an Abuja High Court marked FHC/ ABJ/ CS/ 782/2022 in which Governor Wike and one Newgent Ekamon were listed as plaintiffs.with Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Waziri Tambuwal as respondents..
Meanwhile, the Abuja High Court has fixed August 17 for hearing of the said suit.
