An international Non Governmental Organisation, Compassion for Women and Youth Initiative, says it has provided free medical care to thousands of women and orphans in some communities in Nigeria since inception.
The Founder and Convener, Princess Augusta Aguinede, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with our Correspondent.
According to her, services offered include, Breast Cancer Awareness; Eye Screening and Examination; Diabetes Check Up; Hygiene Awareness and COVID -19 Rapid Instant Check.
Princess Aguinede stated that the free medical outreach programme commenced in
2013 by giving 250 women in Badagry, Lagos state free health care screening check.
“In 2014, we gave 200 women in FCT, Abuja, free health care screening, while in June 25th, 2021, we gave 580 indigent folks including widows, orphans free health care screening check at Ekpoma, Edo state.
” 200 eye glasses , 300 bags of rice, 300 T- shirt, 300 Ankara materials, calcium supplements, Tylenol analgesics, were among the souvinirs given to widows and orphans after receiving free health care screening”, Augusta noted.
The Founder of Compassion for Women and Youth Initiative stated that, similar programme is being planned for next year for mostly widows, orphans and indigent folks across some communities in Nigeria.
Princess Augusta Aguinede based in Canada assured that her goal is to touch lives meaningfully.
