As parties get set to kick off their presidential campaign for the 2023 General Election, the All Progressives Congress ( APC)says it has shifted the kick- off of its campaign which was billed to take off with a peace walk on Wednesday, September 28,2022
The Party in a statement signed by Governor Simon Lalong, Director General of APC Presidential Campaign Council said that the postponement was made to accommodate more people who were not captured in the previous list adding” due to the expansion to accommodate more stakeholders and interests within the APC family,we have decided to adjust the timetable off these activities in order to ensure everyone is onboard before activities officially commence.
” Consequently, the activities earlier announced for the 28th of September will no longer hold.”
Governors on the platform of the Progressives Governors Forum, the National Working Committee NWC and other prominent members had kicked against the 422 campaign list earlier published with some threatening to teach the presidential candidate a lesson during the election.
With the kick -off of the campaign shifted, some members of the party are hopeful that those in charge of listing nominees would do the needful and campaign would start very soon.
