Suspected Fulani Herdsmen on Thursday morning attacked Gbegi Police Station in Benue State killing two policemen and twenty – six civilians .
Although the identities of those who were killed were not put forward, it was gathered that two of the victims were police inspectors.
The invaders were said to have carted away arms from the station..
The attack comes barely a week the state government commissioned the second batch of the Benue Communities Security Outfit.
