Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has asked security agencies in the country to probe Natasha Akpoti- Uduaghan the Senatorial candidate for Kogi Central on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
Speaking on Channels Television programme Politics Today on Monday evening, the Commissioner of Information and Communication,Kogi State, Kingsley Fanwo said the request to probe the PDP candidate arose from her parley with a terrorist, one Safiu whose house was searched by security operatives in Trademore Estate.
But Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan who was asked by the anchor of the programme,Seun Okinbaloye to respond to sensitive issues raised by the government denied any dealings with terrorists as she claimed that Safiu, the so called terrorist was a member of the All Progressives Congress APC and a once ally of the governor.
Akpoti -Uduaghan’s claim that Safiu is a member of the APC ellcited immediate counter from the Commissioner who stated clearly that there is no where in the APC register that indicates that Safiu is a member of the party.
She said that the Governor Bello launched a search warrant in a bid to plant explosives in Ihima, her home town and her office.
Akpoti -Uduaghan also alleged that the security operatives who carried out the operation at Trademore Estate in Abuja are the governor’s killer gang.
She said that the people of the state were fed up with the leadership style of the governor assuring that the PDP will claim all seats in the state.
